As Far as Hillary Knows

The Clintons cannot help themselves. The 60 Minutes interview where Hillary was asked point blank if she thought Barack Obama was a muslim, her response was incredible: 'I take him at his word' and 'not as far as I know.' Despicable is not enough word to cover her tactics. What's incredible is that this is a Democrat! Let's face the facts, the new Democrat that Bill and Hill represented when they showed up on the scene (and the theme they go back to all the time), is that they can fight the forces of evil toe-to-toe. Hey, congratulations on that! You're doing great showing that you can be every bit as evil as they are.

Hillary the Hypocrite

Wait, lemme get this straight: Hillary's big punchline in the Dallas debate was that Obama was not eloquent, he xeroxed his line about words from Devon Patrick. This is a woman whose husband is on tape being deposed with the infamous answer: 'that depends on what the definition of the word is is.' She calls it plagiarism when a member of the Obama team gives him material. Then at the end of the same debate, she uncorks a line that CBS news laid over her husband's speech from 1992 and it was word for word.

Minute later on the same broadcast, they were detailing the fact that the maverick John McCain who has been railing against the influence of the special interests, has been not only sleeping with them, but his whole political machine is composed of their stooges.

And this election is about change? Yeah...

Hillary and Antonio: Made for Each Other

Hillary was pretty much universally despised until her husband's umpteenth episode of philandering broke open and she got to play the spurned woman. How ironic is it that her primary ally in her race-baiting political survival hail mary is a guy who left town while his wife was being treated for cancer with a friend's wife, and who recently was found to be sleeping with the reporter who covered him from a company that had a $30M proposal before his office? Does strange bedfellows cover this? On the Hillary side, it shows that every single thing she does is an act. She made a joke on the campaign trail earlier this year about how she had experience with evil men. Her own husband gets that brand but when he might be able to shovel a few more votes into her bin, it's all huggy and smiles. Now when she and hubby completely detonated a bomb under the most loyal branch of the Democrat base, and she had to turn to the next nearest block she could find, there are no moral judgments or posturing as the guardian of female righteousness.

On Villaraigosa's side, he still has his wife's name stuck to him. Like the Clintons, he has advanced the theory that his actions are not anyone else's business, and like the Clintons he is in love with cameras. Supposedly this guy has ambitions for yet higher office. So far, as Mayor of LA, all he has done (to hold up his vast promises of solving things like traffic congestion), is photo ops: one day it's a pic of him rolling out a few traffic cops (seriously), the next, it's a meeting about the train to Santa Monica that's going to be done in 10 years. His solution to everything seems to be to advance the same plan: let me take it over.

This is the future of US politics: people who cannot get anything done, constantly playing this card: 'they won't let me do anything, let's remove all regulation and political structure, and just make me czar.' The biggest joke in the case of Villaraigosa is he thinks the fact that he represents a racial majority is enough to justify that. It may be, but it will not be enough to sustain it.

Time's Up: FDA Needs to be Obliterated

Hey, in case you didn't get the memo, for all you fools who still queue up to get your dumb daily burger at this culture's extruder, you might as well know that you are eating downed cows who have been tortured by sociopaths. Congratulations!

Meanwhile, the FDA, one of the most useless government agencies, trots out their equivalent of 'Brownie, you're doing a helluva job': some moron named Dr. Ken Peterson. When asked at the end 'how can you promise that this won't happen anymore.' His answer was 'this is an ongoing investigation and we will take action if any is required.'

What is incredibly mind-blowing is that the bogus 'smaller government' idiots in the Republican Party want to get rid of PBS?? Frankly, they should nuke this organization and open the hiring process to the outside world. Doesn't it speak volumes about this country though, that there are cameras rammed in every orifice of the citizenry, and yet it takes an outside organization to sneak one into places like this, which, given the eating habits of this nation, is one of the centerposts of the food supply?

The Clinton Playbook

It's super simple, there is only one thing they do: if they win, the flip everyone, even the people who got them there, the bird. The day of their 1992 Inauguration, they gave the press the 'talk to the hand' treatment. When they lose, 100% of the time, they claim that the fight was unfair. It's very simple: anything that does not go their way is a miscarriage of justice. Now they are blaming the press for falling behind Obama. It couldn't be that their race-baiting blew up in their face. The fact that Bill has been a pathetic scab, lying about his own record on the war, and two weeks later calling Obama's position a 'fairy tale.' Or the fact that Hillary's whole campaign has been a complete joke, arguing that she is the experience candidate for change. Now, we find out that the campaign has been incredibly mismanaged. They spent a fortune in Iowa and came in third. Apparently, inside the org, there are screaming matches. They have had to sack team members for crossing the line again and again. And this is the candidate running on the 'I am the one who can run the country best' platform?

Interestingly, as this all plays out, the economy is going in the toilet thanks to the mismanagement of the idiots on Wall Street. Gee, what do these guys do? Throw tantrums like little babies. Read it here. Is it a coincidence that Hillary represents these guys? It is probably giving the Clintons too much credit to call them sociopaths, though this definition does contain elements that are undeniably bullseyes: 'amoral robots' 'main goal is to win.' 

A very strong case can be made that this pathology is at the core of the rudderless drift in the US now: decades of leadership that is not only lost but has lapsed into undeniable pathology. The great film The Corporation diagnosed this in the business sector. Let's just admit that this disease has spread and taken hold in politics. Obama is a vote for the idea of leadership that has a modicum of mental health going for it; for discarding the yoke of bug-eyed, fear mongering rule.

The Hillary Fallacies

Nevermind the absurdity of Hillary's experience claims, those have been well-refuted to anyone who wants to look at the issue for more than a second. Hillary is a Deconstructionists dream: every single assertion she advances buckles immediately under the force of the surge of oppositional implications. For instance, on experience, it implies that she did a lot in the White House, which would then imply that she was the co-candidate (which she has denied vociferously), which then also calls into question if Bill is her co-candidate (another denial there). Furthermore, experience is a funny word. In a way, it just means 'I was there.' After all, the health care fiasco is being counted, yet it produced less than nothing (and, btw, she refuses to release the records of her meetings/conduct). The Obama counterpunch about Walmart was great. Which brings me to my next point.

David Brooks was on The Tim Russert Show today saying the fundamental difference between Hillary and Obama is that she is getting the middle class, high school educated crowd, and he the college-educated. The problem with this populist paean as her balustrade is that the nostalgic nod to the good times of the 1990s falls apart when you realize that the gulf between the wealthiest and the middle class grew faster than ever before. Look at this graph. Furthermore, how does Clinton get the credit for the prosperity of the 1990s? He had 2 years with a D congress, in which nothing happened, and then one of the great reversals of all time occurred.

Meanwhile, how does the race-baiting and ugly racial politics (like pandering to Latinos by saying things like 'no woman is illegal') fit into this picture of being for the middle class? Of course they don't. The commonalities are plain though: Clinton's appeal is the more basic, machine-oriented one from days of yore. This idea that Hillary is 'experienced' and has the best chance to operate the machine to get people the outcomes they want should be anathema to real populists, who don't want to admit that politics is a vending machine, since they don't have the coin to operate it.
